UID Card In Delhi:
- People who are living in Delhi can apply for uid card in Delhi.
- UID numbers are allotted by Delhi government to families which fall into the category of below poverty line.
- According to officials of senior Delhi government, around 8.77 lakhs are ready for this enrollment process to apply for uid card in Delhi.
- Enrollment agencies have already been decided by Delhi government in a meeting with chief minister of Delhi, Sheila dixit.
- This process has already been started in October, 2010 under which 40 lakhs people without their homes are being granted uid card in Delhi.
Steps Taken By Delhi Government For UID Card:
- 3000 machines have been deployed.
- In one day, 50 people will be enrolled by a single machine. So in total around 1.5 lakhs people can get themselves registered.
Numbers will be sent to a person within 15 days through speed post as said by Delhi chief minister, Sheila dixit.
